extracting information about people based on how they manage their fb profile

    1. find the most connected person
    2. within the graphpool, see the level of exclusiveness (number of terminal ends, no friends exposed)
    3. number of open nodes – can see all of their info
    4. its a tree structure but how many connections to back up the tree?

      perhaps FBSpy as working name.
recurse, fine, end condition (too deep) but how to handle cycles? DAGs?

  • The Systems Analyst at Work, in steps

according to careers-scotland, there are several roles a systems analyst will fulfil. I paraphrase.

    1. talk to users to find what the problems are & what the org wants to achieve from a new system
    2. a detailed study of the org ensues – staff interviews
    3. look at the information and design a system to meet the needs; a costed spec of how it works the buying and the training
    4. then liaises with the coders to make it

Lets say Dweck is right, people have a fixed idea of who they are. Its not surprising, then, now that a new assessment will come into play which could possibly contradict that notion of who I am. Any chance of delaying that contradiction, would push away the time of the eventual pain of realising I am not quite the person who I thought I was.
